Greetings HOTC Members,

We have had several members inquiring about improvements, status of renovations, repairs, etc. We sent the developer a letter via our lawyer, addressing these issues and concerns and inquired about where they are in the development process.

The developer thanked us for our feedback and assured us that all the items were either resolved or being attended to.  (Note- Some sliding doors in the rooms are still inoperable.) They added that they have purchased new beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, water heaters, washer and dryers, upgraded linens and a rebuilt ferry boat.

They also pointed out that all the debris off the front of the island has been removed. The watersports building was also removed. Although this is personally sad to see, it does expand the beach area where it was once not usable.

With regards to the development process, they stated they are still in the permitting process with government agencies, ie CZM, DNRP and Fish & Wildlife to name a few. Given our own experience with these entities, this could take a very long time to resolve.

In short, we still have our rooms, with a few improvements to enjoy. 

Next year’s dues- We have not had any notice of any increase in dues.

Thank you all for remaining with the HOTC community! The Hotel on the Cay is still there to welcome you home.
