The “minutes” of the meeting do not truly reflect all that transpired. Very superficial! Why is the next annual meeting not already posted to the member site?

Hello. ‘Minutes’ are not supposed to be a transcript. They are presumably a record of discussions of note, not every word or topic uttered. I try to make a record of anything relevant to the operation of the board, but don’t write down every comment or question that isn’t related to actual board function. Often at annual meetings – and sometimes at regular meetings – questions or comments come up about day-to-day hotel operations or policy. This is rarely anything the board needs to discuss or vote on, but only perhaps speak to someone at the hotel to correct behavior or some such thing. Annual meeting minutes are posted as soon as they are approved, which will ordinarily happen at the next following board meeting. This is to allow time for everyone to review the minutes and offer corrections or additions if needed. Usually some typos are discovered and because it is often done by teleconference people are not infrequently misidentified.
