How can we vote on the Ballot when we just received the Newsletter and the ballot was supposed to be by October 1. This is October 8, 2010

I am heartbroken to hear of the damage from recent storms, and difficult things have been for the staff and board. I wept when I read the newsletter. You’ve worked so hard over the past year to improve things, and this sort of setback seems so unfair. I do so wish to use my timewhare week in February, and to bring my new significant other along to see why I fell in love with HOTC and STX. I wish I could help. I am offering to proofread the newsletter if you would find that helpful, I have skills and extensive experience in PR, writing, publications and event planning. Please let me know what I can do. I am unemployed at present, and do have some time if I am needed. Please keep up the good work. It is greatly appreciat4ed!

I appreciate the updates and more so the increased level of professionalism and business minded decision making. I have not been down since 2007, but increasingly feel the need to get back. Keep up the good work!

A couple of clarifications:
At this evenings board meeting there is an agenda item to consider a proposal from BBVI (BroadBand Virgin Islands) to replace our existing sucky internet connection with an improved connection as well as more Wi-Fi access points to make as much of the property as possible Wi-Fi enabled. This isn’t free (around $3000 to do this) but Lindsay wants to get it done, and I’m in agreement with her – hopefully the board is too.
As for the ballots for changing the by-laws – the October “deadline” on getting them in only applies if enough ballots are returned to constitute a quorum as defined by the by-laws. I don’t know what the current count of returned ballots is right now, but I’m sure that ballots will continue to be accepted until such time as a required quorum is reached. Everyone should have received a ballot with the previous newsletter.

It is November 14th so was wondering where the minute are from the Board Meeting in October. Seems like they should be posted by now.
Here is a thought, it might be good to post some photos of the hurricane damage so we might see the extent of the damage.

Toni,
The meeting in October did not happen due to a lack of a quorum, so the September board meeting minutes were just approved at the December 9th meeting.
The next meeting is scheduled for February 10, 2011. The December minutes should be approved at that meeting.
