Rental of Time Share Owner Rooms

On Saturday June 2nd 2012,  the Board voted unanimous to change the fee charged to rent rooms on behalf of Time Share Owners.  The new fee will be in effective January 1st 2013:

· Old Fee: 30%
· New Fee: 50%

Factors discussed at the Board Meeting included:

· Other Time Shares charge 50%
· The substantial increase of most expenses in the 2013 budget, especially electricity and water
· Lake Country Travel is paid a fee of $5.00 for each “Room Night” they rent
· Expedia, Travelocity, and other online booking agents take a 25% fee
· Hotel Guests get daily House Keeping Service (7 days verses 2 days for Time Share)
· All this makes it impossible to break even at 30%
· Timeshare Owners still have the option of renting their rooms themselves for no fee
